With Sky TV Sports Presenter Jim White, in excellent form, controlling the football evening, ably supported by former SPL referee, John Rowbottom lifting the spirits with a hilarious contribution, it was all systems go for a night to remember.
Dave Hilley, Alan McKay, & Mike Jackson, presented several appropriate Tales of yesteryear, happily received by all, with the proverbial tear in some eyes on reflection.
Of course the whole proceedings had begun with a quite superb dinner to bolster all.
Bert found his highlights of yesteryear, along with an appreciation to Wattie Dick, a legend of the fifties, on DVD, was warmly welcomed
A remarkable response to the Auction of several items of football Memorabilia, along with a Prize Draw, produced much evidence that fans of all ages remain STEEPED in RED, & most willing to support the efforts of the dedicated TLAC Committee, admirably led by Matt Curry, & Pat McGeady. Their objective is to ultimately have a Third Lanark side running out regularly to play on (and it can be done) the green green grass of CATHKIN PARK. Yes it may be a dream - but what else is left to those S T I L L S E E I N G R E D.
Come on the Hi Hi Hi's

Take my word for it ‘this squad in their prime would be an excellent bet for European action’.

Other participants will include club historian Bert Bell, author of ‘Still Seeing Red’ who will display a pictorial history of Thirds. Bob Laird, fellow Thirds historian will also be presenting his ‘Thirds in Action’ video show.
We anticipate a big demand for tickets and you are encouraged to book early to avoid disappointment.
Exactly 45 years ago, on 28/4/67 myself and my dad walked out of Boghead Park, Dumbarton having just witnessed Thirds’ last ever game in Scottish Football and despite the 5-1 slaughter by the Sons’ we had no reason to think it was the end of our club. Sadly in late June that year Thirds were forced straight into liquidation and the cries of Hi Hi Hi were lost to scottish football. The present TLAC supporters association are trying so hard, not just to keep the name alive, but to ultimately field a Third Lanark side worthy of a place in the Scottish Football League.
So come along, enjoy and evening of Cathkin memories knowing that your presence will greatly assist in the achievement of the ultimate objective. We look forward to seeing you there.
